Sourced from Indonesia, ancient wood buried beneath layers of volcanic sediment gradually underwent permineralization—a natural process in which the original wood was replaced by minerals while preserving its distinctive grain and character.

Each piece is hand-finished into a functional, shallow bowl while retaining the irregularities of its natural formation. Layers of earthen color, fossilized grain, organic edges, and substantial stone-like weight make every bowl completely one of a kind.
